Relating to civil penalties levied by State Department of Agriculture; amending section 7, chapter 390, Oregon Laws 1999.

Be It Enacted by the People of the State of Oregon:

SECTION 1. Section 7, chapter 390, Oregon Laws 1999, is amended to read:

Sec. 7. (1) The State Department of Agriculture may not levy a civil penalty under section 2, 4 or 6, chapter 390, Oregon Laws 1999, [of this 1999 Act] for any violation occurring after December 31, [2001] 2003.

(2) Sections 2, 4 and 6, chapter 390, Oregon Laws 1999, [of this 1999 Act] are repealed December 31, [2002] 2004. The repeal of sections 2, 4 and 6, chapter 390, Oregon Laws 1999, [of this 1999 Act] does not relieve any person of the obligation to pay a civil penalty lawfully imposed by the department prior to December 31, [2002] 2004.
