Chapter 93 Oregon Laws 2001

 

AN ACT

 

HB 5044

 

Relating to the financial administration of the Treasurer of State; appropriating money; limiting expenditures; and declaring an emergency.

 

Be It Enacted by the People of the State of Oregon:

 

          SECTION 1. There is appropriated to the Treasurer of State, for the biennium beginning July 1, 2001, out of the General Fund, the amount of $266,232 for the Oregon Qualified Tuition Savings Program.

 

          SECTION 2. Notwithstanding any other law, the amount of $17,962,702 is established for the biennium beginning July 1, 2001, as the maximum limit for payment of expenses from fees, moneys or other revenues, including Miscellaneous Receipts, but excluding lottery funds and federal funds, collected or received by the Treasurer of State.

 

          SECTION 3. Section 2 of this 2001 Act does not limit, affect or apply to expenditures made by the Treasurer of State to pay for cash management and investment services as they are incurred.

 

          SECTION 4. This 2001 Act being necessary for the immediate preservation of the public peace, health and safety, an emergency is declared to exist, and this 2001 Act takes effect July 1, 2001.
