AN ACT

Relating to community college service districts; and declaring an emergency.

Be It Enacted by the People of the State of Oregon:

SECTION 1. Section 2 of this 2001 Act is added to and made a part of ORS 341.025 to 341.125.

SECTION 2. Notwithstanding ORS 341.039 (3) and (4), on the effective date of this 2001 Act, all community college service districts formed prior to July 1, 1997, shall become community college districts and on and after the effective date of this 2001 Act shall operate as community college districts.

SECTION 3. This 2001 Act being necessary for the immediate preservation of the public peace, health and safety, an emergency is declared to exist, and this 2001 Act takes effect July 1, 2001.
