AN ACT

Relating to the financial administration of the Department of Consumer and Business Services; and declaring an emergency.

Be It Enacted by the People of the State of Oregon:

SECTION 1. For the purpose of carrying out the provisions of ORS 291.055 (1)(e), the following fee increases, approved by the Oregon Department of Administrative Services, for the Department of Consumer and Business Services are approved as follows:

(1) Boiler and pressure vessel

program fees:

(a) No more than 50 square feet

of heating surface..................... $ 71.50

(b) 51 to 500 square feet of

heating surface.......................... $ 93.50

(c) 501 to 1,000 square feet of

heating surface.......................... $ 110

(d) More than 1,000 square feet of

heating surface.......................... $ 121

(e) Boilers not requiring internal

inspection................................... $ 71.50

(f) Cast iron boilers........................ $ 71.50

(g) Maximum area of 50 square

feet............................................. $ 60.50

(h) For each additional 100 square

feet of area in excess of 50

feet............................................. $ 11

(i) Per hour for a reinspection

provided in ORS 480.595 (4), for

travel and inspection time to

defray the cost of reinspection

when deviations from the minimum

safety standards are found

(j) Fee for the special permit

(3) Plumbing program fee increases:

(a) Plan review fee for medical gas

system plan review performed by

the Building Codes Division. The

fee shall be based on the time

required by the division to review

the plans. The fee may not exceed

30 percent of the total plumbing

permit fee for the building or

structure under review. If the

plans are incomplete or have

changed substantially and require

additional review, an additional

plan review fee may be charged

based on the additional time

required to review the plans.

(b) Medical gas system

inspection fees:

(A) Base fee...................................... $ 190

(4) Third party specialty code

inspection and plan review fees:

(a) Alternative appeal fee.............. $ 20

SECTION 2. This 2001 Act being necessary for the immediate preservation of the public peace, health and safety, an emergency is declared to exist, and this 2001 Act takes effect July 1, 2001.
