Chapter 776 Oregon Laws 2001
AN ACT
SB 5538
Relating to the financial
administration of the Department of State Police; appropriating money; limiting
expenditures; and declaring an emergency.
Be It Enacted by the People of the State of Oregon:
SECTION 1.
There are appropriated to the Department
of State Police, for the biennium beginning July 1, 2001, out of the General
Fund, the following amounts for the following purposes:
(1) Patrol Services
activities and

(2) Fish and Wildlife
activities and
operations........ $ 4,830,327
(3) Criminal Investigations
and Gaming
activities and
operations............................... $ 20,780,730
(4) Forensic Services and
Medical
Examiner activities

(5) Human Resources, Training,
Criminal Justice Services,
Information
Communications
and
Management, Law
Enforcement
Data System

and Emergency

SECTION 2.
Notwithstanding any other law, there are
established for the biennium beginning July 1, 2001, as the maximum limits for
payment of expenses from fees, moneys or other revenues, including
Miscellaneous Receipts, but excluding lottery funds, collected or received by
the Department of State Police, the following amounts for the following
purposes:

Notwithstanding any other law, there are

payment of expenses from federal funds collected or received by the Department
of State Police, the following amounts for the following purposes:

SECTION 4.
Section 3 of this 2001 Act does not
limit payments to cities and counties for federal emergency management
assistance.
SECTION 5.
Notwithstanding any other law, the
amount of $3,410,292 is established for the biennium beginning July 1, 2001, as
the maximum limit for payment of fish and wildlife activities and operations
expenses from moneys or other revenues allocated to the Parks and Natural
Resources Fund from lottery funds made available under section 4 (5), Article
XV of the Oregon Constitution.
SECTION 6.
Notwithstanding any other law, all
sections of this 2001 Act are subject to Oregon Department of Administrative
Services rules related to allotting, controlling, and encumbering funds.
SECTION 7.
This 2001 Act being necessary for the
immediate preservation of the public peace, health and safety, an emergency is
declared to exist, and this 2001 Act takes effect July 1, 2001.
