Chapter 777 Oregon Laws 2001

 

AN ACT

 

SB 5546

 

Relating to Oregon Youth Authority; appropriating money; limiting expenditures; and declaring an emergency.

 

Be It Enacted by the People of the State of Oregon:

 

          SECTION 1. There is appropriated to the Oregon Youth Authority, for the biennium beginning July 1, 2001, out of the General Fund, the following amounts for the following purposes:

 

           (1)     Operations............................ $ 216,234,568

           (2)     Debt service.......................... $   13,029,875

 

          SECTION 2. Notwithstanding any other law, the amount of $12,126,628 is established for the biennium beginning July 1, 2001, as the maximum limit for payment of expenses from fees, moneys or other revenues, including Miscellaneous Receipts, but excluding lottery funds and federal funds, collected or received by the Oregon Youth Authority.

 

          SECTION 3. Notwithstanding any other law, the amount of $28,491,704 is established for the biennium beginning July 1, 2001, as the maximum limit for payment of expenses from federal funds collected or received by the Oregon Youth Authority.

 

          SECTION 4. Notwithstanding any other law, all sections of this 2001 Act are subject to Oregon Department of Administrative Services rules related to allotting, controlling, and encumbering funds.

 

          SECTION 5. This 2001 Act being necessary for the immediate preservation of the public peace, health and safety, an emergency is declared to exist, and this 2001 Act takes effect July 1, 2001.
