Chapter 821 Oregon Laws 2001
AN ACT
HB 5036
Relating to the financial
administration of the Public Utility Commission of Oregon; limiting
expenditures; and declaring an emergency.
Be It Enacted by the People of the State of Oregon:
SECTION 1.
Notwithstanding any other law, the
following amounts are established for the biennium beginning July 1, 2001, as
the maximum limit for payment of expenses from fees, moneys or other revenues,
including Miscellaneous Receipts, but excluding lottery funds and federal
funds, collected or received by the Public Utility Commission of Oregon, for
the following purposes:
(1) Utility Program,
$8,030,512.
(2) Residential Service
Protection Fund, $9,595,362.
(3) Policy and
Administration, $14,043,031.
SECTION 2.
Notwithstanding any other law, the
amount of $290,904 is established for the biennium beginning July 1, 2001, as
the maximum limit for the payment of expenses from federal funds collected or
received by the Public Utility Commission of Oregon.
SECTION 3.
Section 1 of this 2001 Act does not
limit, affect or apply to expenditures for the Oregon Universal Service Fund.
SECTION 4.
Notwithstanding any other law, all
sections of this 2001 Act are subject to Oregon Department of Administrative
Services rules related to allotting, controlling, and encumbering funds.
SECTION 5.
This 2001 Act being necessary for the
immediate preservation of the public peace, health and safety, an emergency is
declared to exist, and this 2001 Act takes effect July 1, 2001.
