Chapter 894 Oregon Laws 2001
AN ACT
SB 5553
Relating to state financial
administration; and declaring an emergency.
Be It Enacted by the People of the State of Oregon:
SECTION 1.
There is transferred to the General
Fund, for the biennium beginning July 1, 2001, the amount of $99,219,713 from
the Tobacco Settlement Funds Account established by section 1, chapter 977,
Oregon Laws 2001 (Enrolled House Bill 2450). All transfers under this section
shall be set by the Oregon Department of Administrative Services.
SECTION 2.
There is transferred to the Department
of Human Services, for the biennium beginning July 1, 2001, the amount of
$124,000,000 from the Tobacco Settlement Funds Account established by section
1, chapter 977, Oregon Laws 2001 (Enrolled House Bill 2450), for the Office of
Medical Assistance Programs. All transfers under this section shall be set by
the Oregon Department of Administrative Services.
SECTION 3.
There is transferred to the Insurance
Pool Governing Board, for the biennium beginning July 1, 2001, the amount of
$19,980,287 from the Tobacco Settlement Funds Account established by section 1,
chapter 977, Oregon Laws 2001 (Enrolled House Bill 2450), for the Family Health
Insurance Assistance Program. All transfers under this section shall be set by
the Oregon Department of Administrative Services.
SECTION 4.
There is transferred to the Department
of Human Services, Health Division, for the biennium beginning July 1, 2001,
the amount of $5,000,000 from the Tobacco Settlement Funds Account established
by section 1, chapter 977, Oregon Laws 2001 (Enrolled House Bill 2450), for
tobacco use prevention. All transfers under this section shall be set by the
Oregon Department of Administrative Services.
SECTION 5.
There is transferred to the Health Care
Trust Fund, for the biennium beginning July 1, 2001, an amount not to exceed
$100,000,000 from the Tobacco Settlement Funds Account established by section
1, chapter 977, Oregon Laws 2001 (Enrolled House Bill 2450). All transfers
under this section shall be set by the Oregon Department of Administrative
Services.
SECTION 6.
This 2001 Act being necessary for the
immediate preservation of the public peace, health and safety, an emergency is
declared to exist, and this 2001 Act takes effect July 1, 2001.
