Chapter 929 Oregon Laws 2001

 

AN ACT

 

SB 871

 

Relating to Lewis and Clark Bicentennial in Oregon; appropriating money; and declaring an emergency.

 

Be It Enacted by the People of the State of Oregon:

 

          SECTION 1. (1) There is appropriated to the Oregon Department of Administrative Services, for the biennium beginning July 1, 2001, out of the General Fund, the amount of $100,000 for the Lewis and Clark Bicentennial in Oregon.

          (2) The department shall transfer the moneys appropriated under this section to the Lewis and Clark Bicentennial in Oregon upon the condition that the Lewis and Clark Bicentennial in Oregon use the moneys solely for activities related to the commemoration of the 200th anniversary of the journey of Lewis and Clark and upon such other conditions that the department considers necessary.

 

          SECTION 2. This 2001 Act being necessary for the immediate preservation of the public peace, health and safety, an emergency is declared to exist, and this 2001 Act takes effect July 1, 2001.
