AN ACT

Relating to moneys for a
statue of Tom McCall; and appropriating money.
Be It Enacted by the People of the State of Oregon:
SECTION 1.
(1) In addition to and not in lieu of
any other appropriation, there is appropriated to the Oregon Department of
Administrative Services, for the biennium beginning July 1, 2001, out of the
General Fund, the amount of $15,000 to be expended as provided in this section.
(2) The moneys
appropriated under this section shall be transferred to the Oregon Historical
Society for the purpose of commissioning a sculpture honoring former Governor
Tom McCall, to be placed in Tom McCall Waterfront Park in Portland. The moneys
shall be transferred when the Oregon Historical Society provides the department
with evidence that the society has obtained at least $30,000 from other sources
for the purposes described in this section.
