Chapter 970 Oregon Laws 2001
AN ACT
HB 3861
Relating to commuter rail;
limiting expenditures; and declaring an emergency.
Be It Enacted by the People of the State of Oregon:
SECTION 1.
(1) In addition to and notwithstanding
any other law, the amount of $205,230 is established for the biennium beginning
July 1, 2001, as the maximum limit for payment by the Department of
Transportation of the department's expenses for entering into and administering
the grant agreement for the South Metro Commuter Rail Project from the South
Metro Commuter Rail Project Fund.
(2) In addition to and
notwithstanding any other law, the amount of $1 is established for the biennium
beginning July 1, 2001, as the maximum limit for payment by the Department of
Transportation of Washington County's expenses for the South Metro Commuter
Rail Project from the South Metro Commuter Rail Project Fund.
SECTION 2.
The amount of $18,654 is established for
the biennium beginning July 1, 2001, as the maximum limit for payment of
expenses by the Department of Transportation from the Administrative Services
Economic Development Fund for the purpose of paying the debt service costs of
lottery bonds issued to finance the South Metro Commuter Rail Project.
SECTION 3.
This 2001 Act being necessary for the
immediate preservation of the public peace, health and safety, an emergency is
declared to exist, and this 2001 Act takes effect on its passage.
