  Allows Department of Corrections to enter into agreements to
provide services or other assistance to local governments with
respect to local correctional and juvenile detention facilities.
 
                        A BILL FOR AN ACT
Relating to Department of Corrections.
Be It Enacted by the People of the State of Oregon:
  SECTION 1.  { + Section 2 of this 2001 Act is added to and made
a part of ORS 169.005 to 169.677. + }
  SECTION 2.  { + (1) The Department of Corrections may enter
into contracts or agreements with local governments to provide
services or other assistance to local governments with respect to
local correctional facilities and juvenile detention facilities.
Services and assistance provided to local governments under this
section may include, but need not be limited to, health care
services, treatment services and tactical assistance.
  (2) A contract or agreement entered into under subsection (1)
of this section may authorize the use of department facilities,
personnel, equipment or material in providing services or other
assistance to local governments. + }
