  On page 1 of the printed bill, line 2, before '399.285 ' insert
'399.270,'.
  In line 8, delete 'public' and insert 'eligible' and delete 'of
higher education' and insert ', as defined in ORS 348.180,'.
  In line 15, delete 'a public' and insert 'an eligible'.
  In line 16, delete 'of higher education'.
  In line 17, after 'institution' insert ', except that in the
case of a not-for-profit independent institution, the tuition
waiver may not exceed 90 percent of the resident tuition at
Oregon State University'.
  In line 19, delete 'public' and insert 'eligible'.
  In line 20, delete 'of higher education'.
  In line 21, after the period insert 'The member is responsible
for payment of the balance of the tuition charges not provided
for by the tuition waiver program.'.
  On page 2, line 5, delete the comma and delete 'public' and
insert 'eligible' and delete 'of higher'.
