SUMMARY

Deletes requirement for triplicate receipts for certain
transfers of funds. Requires State Treasurer to notify Oregon
Department of Administrative Services and Legislative Fiscal
Office of certain funds transfers.
A BILL FOR AN ACT
Relating to state moneys; amending ORS 293.215 and 293.600.
Be It Enacted by the People of the State of Oregon:
SECTION 1. ORS 293.215 is amended to read:
293.215. { + (1) + } All transfers from lending to borrowing
funds under ORS 293.210 shall be evidenced by proper bookkeeping
accounts { - and by receipts made in triplicate - }
{ + kept + } by the State Treasurer { + showing appropriate
credits + } to { - the credit of - } the lending funds.
{ - One receipt shall be kept by the State Treasurer, one shall
be delivered to the Oregon Department of Administrative Services
and one shall be sent to the department for whose use the lending
fund is maintained. - } All retransfers shall be evidenced in
like manner.
{ + (2) When funds are transferred under ORS 293.210, the
State Treasurer shall notify the Oregon Department of
Administrative Services, the Legislative Fiscal Office, the
department for whose use the lending fund is maintained and the
governing board or commission, if any, of the department for
whose use the lending fund is maintained. + }
SECTION 2. ORS 293.600 is amended to read:
293.600. { + (1) + } { + As used in this section, 'state
agency' means every state officer, board, commission, department,
institution, branch or agency of state government whose costs are
paid wholly or in part from funds held in the State Treasury. + }
{ + (2) + } The Oregon Department of Administrative Services
may require periodic and special financial and statistical
reports from all state agencies, upon forms which the department
may prescribe, in order to assist the department in performing
its fiscal functions.
