                             SUMMARY

  Requires Oregon Department of Administrative Services to
publish outline of Governor's budget report.
 
                        A BILL FOR AN ACT
Relating to publication of budget report.
Be It Enacted by the People of the State of Oregon:
  SECTION 1.  { + (1) As used in this section:
  (a) 'Agency' has the meaning given that term in ORS 291.002.
  (b) 'Newspaper' has the meaning given that term in ORS 193.010.
  (2) The Oregon Department of Administrative Services shall
publish an outline of the Governor's budget report, issued under
ORS 291.216, in a newspaper in every county on the Sunday
preceding the second Monday in January of each odd-numbered year.
If no Sunday newspaper is published in a county, the department
shall publish the outline in the Sunday newspaper published
nearest to the county without a newspaper. The department shall
include the address of a website or other place where more
detailed information about the budget is available.
  (3) The outline of the budget report shall include, for each
agency, in a format that provides side-by-side comparison, the
following columns:
  (a) The amount of General Fund and lottery appropriations for
the current budget period;
  (b) The amount of any caseload or inflation adjustment;
  (c) The amount of General Fund and lottery appropriations
requested in the Governor's budget for the next budget period;
and
  (d) The percentage increase or decrease in General Fund and
lottery appropriations from the current to the next budget
period. + }
