  On page 1 of the printed bill, line 2, after 'Supervision '
insert '; appropriating money; and declaring an emergency'.
  On page 4, line 15, delete 'twice a' and insert 'once each
calendar'.
  After line 22, insert:
  ' (h) The Department of Corrections shall provide staff support
for the State Council.'.
  On page 6, line 34, after '(2)' insert 'Subject to approval by
the Attorney General under ORS chapter 180,'.
  On page 10, line 39, after the period delete the rest of the
line and insert 'All moneys in the fund are continuously
appropriated to the Department of Corrections to be used for
the'.
  On page 13, after line 26, insert:
  '  { +  SECTION 3. + }  { + If a state withdraws from the
Interstate Compact for Adult Offender Supervision as provided in
Article XII (a) of the compact, the Department of Corrections may
negotiate an agreement with the withdrawing state to fulfill the
purposes of section 2 of this 2001 Act. + }
  '  { +  SECTION 4. + }  { + This 2001 Act being necessary for
the immediate preservation of the public peace, health and
safety, an emergency is declared to exist, and this 2001 Act
takes effect on its passage. + } ' .
