  Requires counties to identify proposed nonagricultural land
uses and resources in exclusive farm use zone that conflict with
agricultural uses and mitigate effects of those nonagricultural
uses and resources.
 
                        A BILL FOR AN ACT
Relating to nonagricultural resources in exclusive farm use
  zones.
Be It Enacted by the People of the State of Oregon:
  SECTION 1.  { + Section 2 of this 2001 Act is added to and made
a part of ORS chapter 215. + }
  SECTION 2. { +  In an area zoned for exclusive farm use, a
county that proposes to add a significant nonagricultural
resource to an inventory of resources developed under a land use
planning goal pursuant to ORS 197.225 or 197.245 shall conduct an
analysis, prior to adding the resource to the inventory, to
determine whether protection, development or exploitation of the
resource will conflict with agricultural uses within the area. If
a conflict is identified, the county must develop a plan to
mitigate the conflict in a manner that preserves and protects
existing agricultural uses in the area before the resource may be
added to the inventory. + }
