  On page 9, after line 19, insert:
  '  { +  SECTION 8. + }  { + (1) The Department of Human
Services shall seek a waiver from the federal Health Care
Financing Administration to allow the Office of Medical
Assistance Programs to communicate prescription drug orders by
electronic means from a practitioner authorized to prescribe
drugs directly to the dispensing pharmacist.
  ' (2) The Department of Human Services and the Office of
Medical Assistance Programs shall adopt rules permitting the
Office of Medical Assistance Programs to communicate prescription
drug orders by electronic means from a practitioner authorized to
prescribe drugs directly to the dispensing pharmacist. + } ' .
