A BILL FOR AN ACT
Relating to persons with disabilities.
Be It Enacted by the People of the State of Oregon:
SECTION 1. { + Section 2 of this 2001 Act is added to and made
a part of ORS 30.260 to 30.300. + }
SECTION 2. { + (1) As used in this section, 'public body '
includes:
(a) Every state agency, department, division, bureau, board and
commission;
(b) Every county and city governing body, school district,
special district and municipal corporation and any board,
department, commission, council or agency thereof;
(c) The Oregon State Bar;
(d) The Oregon Health Sciences University;
(e) Any other public agency of this state; and
(f) Every officer, employee or agent of the public body.
(2) Every public body is subject to action under Title II of
the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990, 42 U.S.C. 12131 to
12134. + }
SECTION 3. { + Section 2 of this 2001 Act applies only to acts
or omissions by a public body on or after the effective date of
this 2001 Act. + }
