tobacco vending license. Defines tobacco product. Directs Oregon
Liquor Control Commission to administer licensing of tobacco
vendors and laws relating to sales of tobacco products.
Establishes qualifications for holder of tobacco vending license.
Allows commission to establish fees for license. - }

products. Allows maximum civil penalty of $1,000 for violation
of laws relating to sales of tobacco products. Punishes certain

A BILL FOR AN ACT
Relating to tobacco.
Be It Enacted by the People of the State of Oregon:
SECTION 1. { + The President of the Senate and the Speaker of
the House of Representatives shall designate a joint interim
legislative committee to study options available for the
distribution and expenditure of payments made to the state under
the terms of the Master Settlement Agreement entered into on
November 23, 1998, by the State of Oregon and leading United
States tobacco product manufacturers. The joint interim
legislative committee shall complete its study before the
commencement of the Seventy-second Legislative Assembly. + }
