  Requires new constructions of one and two family dwellings
served by municipal, district or community water supply system to
include fire sprinkler system.
 
                        A BILL FOR AN ACT
Relating to fire safety systems.
Be It Enacted by the People of the State of Oregon:
  SECTION 1.  { + The Director of the Department of Consumer and
Business Services shall amend the One and Two Family Dwelling
Code adopted pursuant to ORS 455.610 to require that a one or two
family dwelling served by a municipal, district or community
domestic water supply system include a fire sprinkler system
connected to the water supply system. + }
  SECTION 2.  { + Section 1 of this 2001 Act applies to dwellings
for which an initial building permit is issued on or after July
1, 2002. + }
