  On page 1 of the printed A-engrossed bill, line 27, delete '
alternative means of compliance with' and insert 'alternate
method of construction to'.
  On page 2, line 3, delete 'alternative means of compli- ' and
insert 'alternate method of construction'.
  In line 4, delete 'ance'.
  After line 6, insert:
  ' (9) For lots of record existing before the effective date of
this 2001 Act or property that receives any approval for
partition, subdivision or construction under ORS 197.522 before
the effective date of this 2001 Act, a municipality allowing an
alternate method of construction to the requirements for
structures built to the One and Two Family Dwelling Code may
apply the uniform standards established by the director pursuant
to subsection (8) of this section. For property that receives all
approvals for partition, subdivision or construction under ORS
197.522 on or after the effective date of this 2001 Act, a
municipality allowing an alternate method of construction to the
requirements for structures built to the One and Two Family
Dwelling Code must apply the uniform standards established by the
director pursuant to subsection (8) of this section.'.
