  On page 1 of the printed bill, line 29, delete 'Shall' and
insert 'May'.
  In line 31, delete 'required' and insert 'authorized' and
delete 'shall' and insert 'may'.
  On page 2, line 1, delete 'shall' and insert 'may'.
  In line 14, after 'certificate' insert 'under ORS 822.020'.
  In line 15, delete the period and insert 'unless the applicant
possesses a current, valid vehicle dealer certificate issued
under ORS 822.020.
  ' (9) May not use the revocation or suspension by another state
of a vehicle dealer certificate or similar certificate as a basis
for refusing to allow a vehicle dealer holding a current, valid
vehicle dealer certificate issued under ORS 822.020 to obtain a
vehicle dealer certificate under ORS 822.020 or a supplemental
certificate under ORS 822.040 or to renew a certificate under ORS
822.040.'.
  In line 16, delete '(9)' and insert '(10)'.
