about missing child into databases of National Crime Information
Center no later than 24 hours after receiving report that child
is missing. - }

ensure all police and certified reserve officers are trained to
investigate and report cases of missing children. + }
 
                        A BILL FOR AN ACT
Relating to missing persons.
Be It Enacted by the People of the State of Oregon:
  SECTION 1.  { + Section 2 of this 2001 Act is added to and made
a part of ORS 181.610 to 181.712. + }
  SECTION 2.  { + The Board on Public Safety Standards and
Training shall ensure that all police officers and certified
reserve officers are trained to investigate and report cases of
missing children. When federal training programs are made
available to the state at no cost to the state, the board shall
offer the training to police officers and certified reserve
officers. + }
