Directs Mental Health and Developmental Disability Services
Division to maintain and enforce rules prescribing specific
standards for division approval of psychiatric day treatment
services programs for emotionally disturbed children and
adolescents.
Directs division to apply specific rules in lieu of general
rules applicable to intensive mental health treatment services
for children.
A BILL FOR AN ACT
Relating to mental health treatment.
Be It Enacted by the People of the State of Oregon:
SECTION 1. { + Section 2 of this 2001 Act is added to and made
a part of ORS 430.010 to 430.050. + }
SECTION 2. { + (1) The Mental Health and Developmental
Disability Services Division shall maintain and enforce rules
prescribing specific and separate standards to be used by the
division for approving psychiatric day treatment services
programs for emotionally disturbed children and adolescents. The
standards shall be the Day and Residential Treatment Services
program standards and guidelines adopted by the division by rule
and in effect on January 1, 2001.
(2) The rules described in subsection (1) of this section shall
operate in lieu of any rules adopted by the division establishing
general standards for children's intensive mental health
treatment services. + }
