SUMMARY

Prohibits use of Social Security number on fish and wildlife
license, tag or permit. Requires State Fish and Wildlife
Commission to develop new numbering system. Requires applicant
notification of retention of Social Security number in
commission's automated database.
A BILL FOR AN ACT
Relating to State Fish and Wildlife Commission licenses.
Be It Enacted by the People of the State of Oregon:
SECTION 1. { + (1) The State Fish and Wildlife Commission may
not display a Social Security number on a license, tag or permit
issued pursuant to rules promulgated under ORS 496.146. The
commission shall, by rule, prescribe a numbering system for
licenses, tags and permits that complies with this section and
ORS 25.785.
(2) The State Fish and Wildlife Commission shall, by rule,
require notification to an applicant for a license, tag or permit
that the applicant's Social Security number will not appear on
the license, tag or permit but will be included in the automated
database maintained by the commission. + }
