  Requires elimination of state agency positions that are vacant
for six months.
 
                        A BILL FOR AN ACT
Relating to state agency positions.
Be It Enacted by the People of the State of Oregon:
  SECTION 1.  { + (1) As used in this section, 'state agency' has
the meaning given that term in ORS 192.072.
  (2) When a full-time equivalent budgeted position in a state
agency has remained vacant for a continuous period of six months,
the position shall be considered eliminated and the state agency
may not fill the position. The budget of the state agency shall
be adjusted accordingly. + }
