  Provides that certain motions and other pleadings in civil
actions must be filed not later than 15 days after service of
pleading moved against or service of pleading to which responsive
pleading is directed.
 
                        A BILL FOR AN ACT
Relating to civil procedure; creating new provisions; and
  amending ORCP 15 A.
Be It Enacted by the People of the State of Oregon:
  SECTION 1. ORCP 15 A is amended to read:
  A Time for filing motions and pleadings. A motion or answer to
the complaint or third party complaint and the reply to a
counterclaim or answer to a cross-claim shall be filed with the
clerk by the time required by Rule 7 C(2) to appear and defend.
Any other motion or responsive pleading shall be filed not later
than   { - 10 - }  { +  15 + } days after service of the pleading
moved against or to which the responsive pleading is directed.
  SECTION 2.  { + The amendments to ORCP 15 A by section 1 of
this 2001 Act apply only to actions commenced on or after the
effective date of this 2001 Act. + }
