CHAPTER ................
AN ACT
Relating to placement of automated external defibrillators in
state buildings.
Be It Enacted by the People of the State of Oregon:
SECTION 1. { + (1) The Oregon Department of Administrative
Services shall study the placement and use of automated external
defibrillators in buildings owned, leased or operated by the
state. As part of the study, the department shall recommend
criteria for:
(a) Selecting state buildings to house automated external
defibrillators.
(b) Purchasing and maintaining automated external
defibrillators.
(c) Integrating automated external defibrillators with existing
emergency medical services and equipment.
(d) Training building occupants in the use of automated
external defibrillators.
(2) The department shall submit a report on the study to
interim legislative committees with jurisdiction over issues
related to health care and public health by June 1, 2002. + }
SECTION 2. { + Section 1 of this 2001 Act is repealed June 30,
2002. + }
