  Appropriates moneys from General Fund to Mental Health and
Developmental Disability Services Division for purpose of
providing respite care services to persons caring for children
with developmental disabilities or children who are medically
fragile.
  Declares emergency, effective July 1, 2001.
 
                        A BILL FOR AN ACT
Relating to respite care services; appropriating money; and
  declaring an emergency.
Be It Enacted by the People of the State of Oregon:
  SECTION 1.  { + In addition to and not in lieu of any other
appropriation, there is appropriated to the Mental Health and
Developmental Disability Services Division, for the biennium
beginning July 1, 2001, out of the General Fund, the amount of
$___, which may be expended for providing respite care services
to individuals and families caring for children with
developmental disabilities or children who are medically
fragile. + }
  SECTION 2.  { + This 2001 Act being necessary for the immediate
preservation of the public peace, health and safety, an emergency
is declared to exist, and this 2001 Act takes effect July 1,
2001. + }
