  On page 1 of the printed A-engrossed bill, delete lines 13
through 22 and insert:
  '  { +  SECTION 2. + }  { + As used in sections 1 to 7 of this
2001 Act, ' harassment, intimidation or bullying' means any act
that substantially interferes with a student's educational
benefits, opportunities or performance, that takes place on or
immediately adjacent to school grounds, at any school-sponsored
activity, on school-provided transportation or at any official
school bus stop, and that has the effect of:
  ' (1) Physically harming a student or damaging a student's
property;
  ' (2) Knowingly placing a student in reasonable fear of
physical harm to the student or damage to the student's property;
or
  ' (3) Creating a hostile educational environment. + } ' .
  On page 2, line 1, after 'bullying' insert 'that is consistent
with section 2 of this 2001 Act'.
  In line 21, delete 'and'.
  In line 23, delete the period and insert '; and
  ' (L) The identification by job title of school officials
responsible for ensuring that policy is implemented.'.
