  On page 1 of the printed bill, line 27, delete 'that prejudices
the ability'.
  In line 28, delete the boldfaced material and insert 'that
reasonably raises questions about the ability of the EMT to
perform the duties of an EMT in accordance with the standards
established by this chapter'.
  On page 2, after line 12, insert:
  ' (q) Refusing an invitation for an interview with the division
as specified in this section.'.
  In line 15, delete 'However,'.
  In line 16, delete 'only' and delete 'have a'.
  In line 17, delete 'demonstrable impact on' and insert '
reasonably raise questions about'.
  In line 20, delete 'Any report prepared by an'.
  Delete lines 21 and 22.
  In line 30, delete 'informal'.
  In line 31, after the period delete the rest of the line and
insert 'At the time the division requests an interview, the EMT
shall be provided with a general statement of the issue or issues
of concern to the division. The request shall include a statement
of the procedural safeguards available to the EMT, including the
right to end the interview on request, the right to have counsel
present and the following statement: 'Any action proposed by the
Health Division shall provide for a contested case hearing.' ' .
  Delete lines 32 through 34.
  On page 3, delete lines 25 through 32 and insert:
  ' (2) The purpose of disciplining an EMT under this section is
to ensure that the EMT will provide services that are consistent
with the obligations of this chapter. Prior to taking final
disciplinary action, the division shall determine if the EMT has
been disciplined for the questioned conduct by the EMT's employer
or supervising physician. The division shall consider any such
discipline or any other corrective action in deciding whether
additional discipline or corrective action by the division is
appropriate.'.
  After line 35, insert:
  ' (b) Issue a letter of reprimand.
  ' (c) Issue a letter of instruction.'.
  In line 36, delete '(b)' and insert '(d)'.
  In line 37, delete '(c)' and insert '(e)'.
  In line 38, delete '(d)' and insert '(f)'.
  In line 39, delete '(e)' and insert '(g)'.
  In line 41, delete '(f)' and insert '(h)'.
  On page 4, line 5, delete '(3)(b)' and insert '(3)(d)'.
