  In line 11 of the printed bill, delete 'state' and insert '
other new'.
  In line 17, after 'funded' insert ', subject to the
availability of funds,'.
  In line 19, delete 'State' and insert 'Other new' and after
'support' insert 'or provide access to'.
  In line 20, after 'project' insert 'or a federally authorized
navigation channel'.
  In line 21, delete 'study and' and after 'costs' insert ' under
subsection (3)(a) of this section'.
  After line 23, insert:
  ' (5) Financial assistance for construction costs under
subsection (3)(b) of this section is limited to projects
sponsored by a port, as defined in ORS 777.005 or 778.005, that
meet criteria developed by the department.
  ' (6) Financial assistance for studies of other new
construction projects under subsection (1)(b) of this section is
limited to projects that meet criteria developed by the
department.'.
