  Appropriates moneys from General Fund to Oregon Department of
Administrative Services for construction of Beaverton Veterans
Memorial in Memorial Park.
  Declares emergency, effective July 1, 2001.
 
                        A BILL FOR AN ACT
Relating to Beaverton Veterans Memorial; appropriating money; and
  declaring an emergency.
Be It Enacted by the People of the State of Oregon:
  SECTION 1.  { + (1) There is appropriated to the Oregon
Department of Administrative Services, for the biennium beginning
July 1, 2001, out of the General Fund, the amount of $10,000 for
the construction of the Beaverton Veterans Memorial in Memorial
Park in Beaverton.
  (2) The department shall transfer the moneys appropriated under
this section to the Beaverton Veterans Memorial Council upon the
condition that the council use the moneys solely for the
construction of the memorial.
  (3) The Beaverton Veterans Memorial Council shall apply for a
marker designating the memorial as a Blue Star Memorial
Byway. + }
  SECTION 2. { +  This 2001 Act being necessary for the immediate
preservation of the public peace, health and safety, an emergency
is declared to exist, and this 2001 Act takes effect July 1,
2001. + }
