Whereas in 1967, the Fifty-fourth Legislative Assembly enacted
House Bill 1601, to forever preserve and maintain the state's
ocean shores and beaches so that citizens of Oregon may enjoy the
free and uninterrupted use of the state's shores and beaches; and
Whereas Oregon's shoreline is one of the state's most prized
natural assets, recognized worldwide and preserved and enjoyed by
all; now, therefore,
Be It Resolved by the House of Representatives of the State of
Oregon:
That we, the members of the House of Representatives of the
Seventy-first Legislative Assembly, commemorate the passage of
this landmark legislation on its 34th anniversary.
