A BILL FOR AN ACT
Relating to Public Defense Services Commission; amending section
5, chapter 1033, Oregon Laws 1999; appropriating money; and
declaring an emergency.
Be It Enacted by the People of the State of Oregon:
SECTION 1. Section 5, chapter 1033, Oregon Laws 1999, is
amended to read:
{ + Sec. 5. + } Sections 1 to 3 { + , chapter 1033, Oregon
Laws 1999, + } { - of this 1999 Act - } are repealed on
September 1, { - 2001 - } { + 2003 + }.
SECTION 2. { + In addition to and not in lieu of any other
appropriation, there is appropriated to the Judicial Department
for the biennium beginning July 1, 2001, out of the General Fund,
the sum of $______ for the purpose of carrying out sections 1, 2
and 3, chapter 1033, Oregon Laws 1999. + }
SECTION 3. { + This 2001 Act being necessary for the immediate
preservation of the public peace, health and safety, an emergency
is declared to exist, and this 2001 Act takes effect July 1,
2001. + }
