  Creates crime of recklessly endangering with fire. Punishes by
maximum of one year of imprisonment, $5,000 fine, or both.
 
                        A BILL FOR AN ACT
Relating to fire.
Be It Enacted by the People of the State of Oregon:
  SECTION 1.  { + Section 2 of this 2001 Act is added to and made
a part of ORS 163.160 to 163.208. + }
  SECTION 2.  { + (1) A person commits the crime of recklessly
endangering with fire if the person recklessly sets a fire or
causes a fire to be set that creates a risk of physical injury to
another person.
  (2) Recklessly endangering with fire is a Class A
misdemeanor. + }
