  On page 1 of the printed bill, line 3, after '678.150 ' insert
', 678.155 and 678.157'.
  In line 27, after 'licensing' insert 'as a registered nurse or
a licensed practical nurse' and delete the boldfaced material.
  In line 28, delete '678.375'.
  Delete line 29 and insert:
  ' (c) Consult with graduate nursing education programs.
  ' (d) Provide for surveys of nursing education programs that
prepare persons for licensing as a registered nurse or a licensed
practical nurse at such times as may be necessary.'.
  In line 30, delete '(d)' and insert '(e)'.
  On page 2, line 1, delete '(e)' and insert '(f)'.
  In line 3, delete '(f)' and insert '(g)'.
  In line 5, delete '(g)' and insert '(h)'.
  In line 14, delete '(h)' and insert '(i)'.
  In line 15, delete '(i)' and insert '(j)'.
  In line 25, delete '(j)' and insert '(k)'.
  After line 42, insert:
  '  { +  SECTION 2. + } ORS 678.155 is amended to read:
  ' 678.155. (1) In carrying out its duties under ORS 678.150
(6), (7) and (8), the Oregon State Board of Nursing shall not
make changes in entry level nursing education or licensure
requirements unless such changes are enacted by the Legislative
Assembly.
  ' (2) In carrying out its duties under   { - ORS 678.150
(7)(i) - }  { +  ORS 678.150 (7)(j) + }, the Oregon State Board
of Nursing shall not prescribe any standard that would
substantially alter the practices followed prior to July 1, 1979,
in long term care facilities relating to the administration of
noninjectable medication by nursing assistants, except for the
training requirements in ORS 678.440.
  '  { +  SECTION 3. + } ORS 678.157 is amended to read:
  ' 678.157. Nothing in ORS 678.150 and this section affects the
limitation on the authority of the board imposed by ORS 678.155
and 678.445 in carrying out its duties under   { - ORS 678.150
(7)(i) - }  { +  ORS 678.150 (7)(j) + }.'.
