SUMMARY

Allows Board on Public Safety Standards and Training, in
consultation with Department of Public Safety Standards and
Training, to designate categories of public safety personnel
killed in line of duty who may be honored at memorial. Requires
use of funds in Police Memorial Trust Fund for certain actions
related to memorial.
A BILL FOR AN ACT
Relating to Police Memorial Trust Fund.
Be It Enacted by the People of the State of Oregon:
SECTION 1. { + (1) The Board on Public Safety Standards and
Training, in consultation with the Department of Public Safety
Standards and Training, may adopt rules that designate the
classifications of public safety personnel killed in the line of
duty who may be honored at the memorial created pursuant to
section 1, chapter 508, Oregon Laws 1987.
(2) The costs of maintenance and relocation of the memorial
described in subsection (1) of this section and the costs of an
annual memorial service honoring persons killed in the line of
duty shall be paid out of the Police Memorial Trust Fund. + }
