Authorizes Department of Transportation to release duplicate
image of driver license or identification card photograph to
investigators employed by Department of Justice.
Declares emergency, effective on passage.
A BILL FOR AN ACT
Relating to release of photographs to Department of Justice
investigators; amending ORS 807.115; and declaring an
emergency.
Be It Enacted by the People of the State of Oregon:
SECTION 1. ORS 807.115 is amended to read:
807.115. The Department of Transportation shall retain a
duplicate image of each photograph used on a driver license under
the provisions of ORS 807.110 or an identification card under ORS
807.400. The duplicates may not be made available to anyone other
than law enforcement officials { + , investigators employed by
the Department of Justice + } and employees of the
Department { + of Transportation + } acting in an official
capacity.
SECTION 2. { + This 2001 Act being necessary for the immediate
preservation of the public peace, health and safety, an emergency
is declared to exist, and this 2001 Act takes effect on its
