                      SENATE AMENDMENTS TO

  On page 2 of the printed bill, line 3, delete 'forestlands '
and insert 'forest operations' and delete 'unless' and insert '
except in areas where'.
  In line 6, after 'conducted' insert a period and delete ' and'.
  In line 7, delete 'that are:' and restore the bracketed
material and delete 'Such' and insert 'These'.
  In line 8, delete 'Developed to'.
  In line 9, restore 'Be' and delete 'being'.
  In line 10, after '(c)' insert 'Be' and after 'process ' insert
a semicolon and delete the rest of the line.
  Delete lines 11 through 15 and insert:
  ' (d) Be developed for the specific purpose of regulating
forest practices; and
  ' (e) Be developed in coordination with the State Forestry
Department and with notice to the Department of Land Conservation
and Development.
  ' (6) To coordinate with local governments in the protection of
soil, air, water, fish and wildlife resources, the State Forester
shall provide local governments with a copy of the notice or
written plan for a forest operation within any urban growth
boundary. Local governments may review and comment on an
individual forest operation and inform the landowner or operator
of all other regulations that apply but that do not pertain to
activities regulated under the Oregon Forest Practices Act.'.
  In line 16, delete '(6)' and insert '(7) The existence or
adoption by' and delete 'which have, before September 29, 1991,
adopted' and insert 'of'.
  In line 17, delete 'allowing, prohibiting or'.
  In line 18, after 'shall' delete the rest of the line and line
19 and insert 'relieve'.
  In line 22, delete '(7)' and insert '(8)'.
