                          AMENDMENTS TO
                   A-ENGROSSED SENATE BILL 519

Speaker Simmons:
  A minority of your Committee on School Funding and Tax
Fairness/Revenue, to whom was referred A-engrossed Senate Bill
519, having had the same under consideration, respectfully
reports it back with the recommendation that it do pass with the
following amendments:
 
  On page 1 of the printed A-engrossed bill, after line 4,
insert:
  '  { +  SECTION 1. + }  { + (1) In addition to and not in lieu
of any other appropriation, there is appropriated to the
Department of Education, for the fiscal year beginning July 1,
2001, out of the General Fund, the amount of $4.5 million, for
the Small School District Supplement Fund.
  ' (2) In addition to and not in lieu of any other
appropriation, there is appropriated to the Department of
Education, for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2002, out of the
General Fund, the amount of $4.5 million, for the Small School
District Supplement Fund. + } ' .
  In line 5, delete '1' and insert '2' and delete '2' and insert
'3'.
  Delete lines 7 through 10.
  On page 3, line 5, delete '1' and insert '2'.
