  On page 1 of the printed bill, line 2, after 'tests; ' insert
'creating new provisions;'.
  Delete lines 18 and 19 and insert:
  ' (c) On a basis prescribed by division rule, report to the
division identifying information and test results for individual
newborn children.'.
  In line 21, after 'on' delete the rest of the line and insert
'a basis prescribed by division rule, report to the division
identifying information on individual children en-'.
  After line 23, insert:
  ' (5) Outpatient newborn hearing screeners and diagnostic
facilities shall report to the division, as prescribed by rule,
identifying information and results of hearing screening tests
for individual newborn children.'.
  In line 24, delete '(5)' and insert '(6)'.
  On page 2, line 5, delete '(6)' and insert '(7)'.
  In line 10, delete '(7)' and insert '(8)'.
  In line 12, after 'children' insert ', excluding those families
objecting under subsection (7) of this section,'.
  In line 14, delete '(8)' and insert '(9)'.
  After line 30, insert:
  '  { +  SECTION 3. + }  { + The Health Division shall appoint
an advisory committee to provide:
  ' (1) Advice on the implementation of the amendments to ORS
433.321 and 433.323 by sections 1 and 2 of this 2001 Act.
  ' (2) Assistance in the preparation of a report to the
Seventy-second Legislative Assembly on the status of the newborn
hearing screening testing program. The report shall include
recommendations on improving the testing program, including but
not limited to strategies to increase the rate of early screening
for children born in hospitals and birthing centers with fewer
than 200 live births per year or born outside of hospitals and
birthing centers. + } ' .
  In line 31, delete '3' and insert '4'.
