  In line 2 of the printed bill, after 'agencies' insert a period
and delete the rest of the line.
  Delete lines 4 through 19 and insert:
  '  { +  SECTION 1. + }  { + In discussions held with the United
States Army Corps of Engineers over seasonal operations of
impoundments within the Willamette Basin reservoir system,
including Detroit Lake, the Water Resources Department shall:
  ' (1) Specify that the State of Oregon has determined that
Detroit Lake is an important recreational resource to the
citizens of Oregon.
  ' (2) Encourage the United States Army Corps of Engineers to
place recreation as the highest priority use of the waters of
Detroit Lake.
  ' (3) If the United States Army Corps of Engineers indicates
that recreational use of Detroit Lake will not receive the
highest priority, notify communities that may be detrimentally
affected by such a decision and hold hearings within the affected
communities. + } ' .
