  Requires Oregon Board of Investigators to provide investigator,
operative or applicant for investigator's license or operative's
registration with 60 days in which to respond to allegations that
form basis of action proposed by board.
 
                        A BILL FOR AN ACT
Relating to Oregon Board of Investigators; amending ORS 703.470.
Be It Enacted by the People of the State of Oregon:
  SECTION 1. ORS 703.470 is amended to read:
  703.470. (1) { + (a) + } If the Oregon Board of Investigators
proposes to refuse to issue or renew a license or registration or
proposes to suspend or revoke a license or registration or
proposes to reprimand, censure or impose a period of probation on
an investigator or operative, opportunity for hearing shall be
accorded as provided in ORS 183.310 to 183.550.
   { +  (b) When the board proposes to take action under this
subsection, the board shall provide the investigator, operative
or applicant for a license or registration with at least 60 days
to respond to the allegations that form the basis for the action.
The board may impose a shorter period in which the investigator,
operative or applicant must notify the board that the
investigator, operative or applicant intends to respond to the
charges. The notification period allowed by this paragraph may
not be less than 20 days. + }
  (2) Judicial review of orders under subsection (1) of this
section shall be as provided in ORS 183.310 to 183.550.
