                      SENATE AMENDMENTS TO

  On page 2 of the printed A-engrossed bill, delete line 24 and
insert:
  ' (e) Must submit to fingerprint criminal records checks as
prescribed by the board by rule;'.
  On page 3, lines 6 and 7, restore the bracketed material and
delete the boldfaced material.
  On page 5, lines 2 and 3, restore the bracketed material and
delete the boldfaced material.
  In line 16, delete 'described in section 20 of this 2001 Act'
and insert 'as prescribed by rule of the board'.
  On page 6, delete lines 34 and 35 and insert:
  ' (A) Three members must be licensed investigators;
  ' (B) One member must be either a licensed investigator or an
active law enforcement officer;
  ' (C) Two members must be members of the Oregon State Bar; and
  ' (D) One member must be a representative of the general
public.'.
  On page 7, line 10, delete 'new'.
  In line 26, restore 'application, licensing and registration,
renewal of licenses'.
  In line 27, restore 'and registrations' and after '
registrations' insert a comma.
  On page 8, line 28, delete 'not' and delete ', but may ' and
insert 'and'.
  On page 9, line 11, delete 'to 22' and insert 'and 21'.
  Delete lines 13 through 16.
  In line 17, delete '21' and insert '20'.
  In line 33, delete '22' and insert '21'.
  In line 37, delete '23' and insert '22'.
  On page 10, line 14, delete '24' and insert '23'.
  On page 12, line 3, delete '25' and insert '24'.
  In line 23, delete '26' and insert '25'.
  After line 27, insert:
  '  { +  SECTION 26. + }  { + A person's unexpired operative's
registration issued before the effective date of this 2001 Act is
deemed to be an investigator's license with a provisional
endorsement for purposes of ORS 703.401 to 703.490, 703.993 and
703.995. Prior to the expiration date of the person's
registration, the person may apply for renewal as provided in ORS
703.445. If the person meets the requirements for renewal, the
board shall issue the person an investigator's license with a
provisional endorsement or, if the person meets the requirements
of ORS 703.415 (1)(g), an investigator's license without such an
endorsement. + } ' .
  Delete line 29 and insert:
  '  { +  SECTION 28. + }  { + This 2001 Act takes effect on the
91st day after the date on which the regular session of the
Seventy-first Legislative Assembly adjourns sine die. + } ' .
