Relating to workers’ compensation self-insurance pool; amending section 9, chapter 4, Oregon Laws 2002 (second special session); and declaring an emergency.
Be It Enacted by the People of the State of
Oregon:
SECTION 1. Section 9, chapter 4, Oregon Laws 2002 (second special session), is amended to read:
(1) Out of the $8,906,000 transferred to the Department of Human Services by section 2, chapter 273, Oregon Laws 1999, the department may distribute up to $1,100,000 for a workers’ compensation self-insurance pool for [rehabilitation facilities] private community care providers.
[(2) As used in this section, “rehabilitation facility” has the meaning given that term in section 2, chapter 273, Oregon Laws 1999.]
(2) As used in this section, “private community care provider” means a nonprofit agency that has a contract with the Department of Human Services or a subcontract with a community mental health and developmental disabilities program to provide programs or services described in ORS 409.010 (2)(a) to (g).
SECTION 2. This 2003 Act being necessary for the immediate preservation of the public peace, health and safety, an emergency is declared to exist, and this 2003 Act takes effect on its passage.
