Chapter 491 Oregon Laws 2003
AN ACT
SB 5539
Relating to the financial administration of the Public Utility Commission of Oregon; limiting expenditures; and declaring an emergency.
Be It Enacted by the People of the State of
Oregon:
SECTION 1. Notwithstanding any other law limiting expenditures, the following amounts are established for the biennium beginning July 1, 2003, as the maximum limits for payment of expenses from fees, moneys or other revenues, including Miscellaneous Receipts, but excluding lottery funds and federal funds, collected or received by the Public Utility Commission of Oregon for the following purposes:
(1) Utility program...................... $ 9,031,473
(2) Residential Service Protection
Fund....................................... $ 9,627,550
(3) Policy and administration..... $ 15,295,214
SECTION 2. Notwithstanding any other law limiting expenditures, the amount of $346,174 is established for the biennium beginning July 1, 2003, as the maximum limit for payment of expenses from federal funds collected or received by the Public Utility Commission of Oregon.
SECTION 3. For the biennium beginning July 1, 2003, expenditures for the Oregon Universal Service Fund are not limited.
SECTION 4. This 2003 Act being necessary for the immediate preservation of the public peace, health and safety, an emergency is declared to exist, and this 2003 Act takes effect July 1, 2003.
