Chapter 585 Oregon Laws 2003
AN ACT
SB 5529
Relating to the financial administration of the State Library; appropriating money; limiting expenditures; and declaring an emergency.
Be It Enacted by the People of the State of
Oregon:
SECTION 1. There is appropriated to the State Library, for the biennium beginning July 1, 2003, out of the General Fund, the amount of $2,760,857.

2. If Senate Bill 12 becomes law, section 1 of this 2003 Act is amended
to read:
Sec. 1. There is appropriated to the State Library, for the biennium beginning July 1, 2003, out of the General Fund, the amount of [$2,760,857] $2,635,879.
SECTION 3. Notwithstanding any other law limiting expenditures, the amount of $5,785,071 is established for the biennium beginning July 1, 2003, as the maximum limit for payment of expenses from fees, moneys or other revenues, including Miscellaneous Receipts, but excluding lottery funds and federal funds, collected or received by the State Library.
SECTION 4. If Senate Bill 12 becomes law, section 3 of this 2003 Act is amended to read:
Sec. 3. Notwithstanding any other law limiting expenditures, the amount of [$5,785,071] $6,255,071 is established for the biennium beginning July 1, 2003, as the maximum limit for payment of expenses from fees, moneys or other revenues, including Miscellaneous Receipts, but excluding lottery funds and federal funds, collected or received by the State Library.
SECTION 5. Notwithstanding any other law limiting expenditures, the amount of $4,153,868 is established for the biennium beginning July 1, 2003, as the maximum limit for payment of expenses from federal funds collected or received by the State Library.
SECTION 6. This 2003 Act being necessary for the immediate preservation of the public peace, health and safety, an emergency is declared to exist, and this 2003 Act takes effect July 1, 2003.
