Relating to billing by State Department of Agriculture; amending ORS 561.410.

Be It Enacted by the People of the State of Oregon:

SECTION 1. ORS 561.410 is amended to read:

561.410. (1) The State Department of Agriculture[, in its discretion,] may grant credit for services and materials furnished pursuant to the [provisions of all laws under its jurisdiction] laws administered by the department.

(2) [Except where due dates or other credit procedures are otherwise established by law, the department shall establish a uniform monthly date on which the department shall forward to the person responsible for payment of services and materials, an itemized statement thereof.] The department shall prepare an itemized invoice of the services and materials furnished by the department and send the invoice to the person responsible for payment. The amount owing by [such] the person is due and payable to the department [within 15 days] on or before the 30th day after the date [established under this subsection] of the invoice.
